        01 Blast furnace gas: from "inevitable byproduct" to "urban energy"#

        高爐煤氣并非特意制造,而是高爐煉鐵過程中自然生成的副產(chǎn)物。當(dāng)焦炭和煤粉在千度高溫下還原鐵礦石時,會產(chǎn)生大量以一氧化碳(CO)和氫氣(H?)為主的可燃氣體,也就是高爐煤氣 。然而,它天生“體質(zhì)特殊”:熱值低(約為天然氣的十分之一),成分復(fù)雜(含有粉塵、硫化物等雜質(zhì))。但其產(chǎn)量極為可觀,每生產(chǎn)1噸鐵水,大約會產(chǎn)生1500-2000立方米的高爐煤氣。作為鋼鐵大國,我國高爐煤氣年產(chǎn)生量高達數(shù)千億立方米,正因如此,它被稱作“未被看見的能源寶藏”。

        Blast furnace gas is not intentionally produced, but a byproduct naturally generated during the process of blast furnace ironmaking. When coke and coal powder reduce iron ore at a high temperature of 1000 degrees, a large amount of combustible gases, mainly carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H?), are produced, which is blast furnace gas. However, it is born with a unique constitution: low calorific value (about one tenth of natural gas) and complex composition (containing impurities such as dust and sulfides). But its output is extremely considerable, producing about 1500-2000 cubic meters of blast furnace gas for every ton of molten iron produced. As a major steel producing country, China's annual production of blast furnace gas reaches hundreds of billions of cubic meters, which is why it is known as the 'unseen energy treasure'.

Gas purification mainly includes key processes such as desulfurization, dust removal, and coke removal, with the aim of ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the gas.
